Under the prejoining programme for development in the sphere of agriculture and the rural regions our country is going to receive 75 090 000 euros gratuitous financial aid from the EU. Bulgaria insures co-financing in the programme at the value of 25% of the overall expenses. State fund 'Agriculture' - Agency 'SAPARD' will be approving the projects and will be making contracts for gratuitous financial aid to the size of the common budget in the National plan for development of agriculture and rural areas 2000-2006. |

According to the accepted changes in the Labour Code the employer cannot undertake mass dismissals unless he/she has conducted consultations with representatives of the syndicates and the workers at least a month beforehand. The employer has to inform in a written form the syndicates for the number of workers dismissed and what compensations will be paid out. And up to three days - to send a copy of this information to the Agency of Employment.
With a decrease in the amount of the work the employer can introduce part-time schedule but for no more than three months during the year.
The work done during holidays and weekends should be granted with a higher overtime pay.
The sanction for an employer who hasn't insured safe and healthy conditions for night time work is from 1 500 to 5 000 BGN.
When sending a worker abroad it is obligatory to give him/her all information about the work conditions there in a written form. |
